** Back in 2014 the hugely popular point and click adventure Shadowgate was gifted a HD remake and released for the PC via Steam. This rich reimagining featured all the same locations as the home computer and console classic, only this time in stunning detail. Fast forward to today and this updated version of the game has just become available on mobile devices.
If you haven’t already played through Shadowgate, the game is notorious for not only being an engrossing tale and frantic adventure, but also one where the tiniest mistake can cast you into death’s arms - a screen you’ll be seeing a plenty. The original game was well known amongst home computer owners, however, the first experience most gamers had with the game was through the Nintendo NES port, which still holds up today.
Having hit both Google Play and the Apple App Store just now, gamers once again wanting to enter the depths of Shadowgate can do so for £2.41/£2.29 respectively. It is recommended you install the game on a large screen device such as a tablet, due to the level of detail and text present in this updated port. **
